What is a Heat Pump? 

At the most basic level, a heat pump is an appliance that can heat and cool your home by moving heat instead of having to create it. In the summer it moves it outside and In the winter it reverses the mechanical process gathering heat (yes even in the cold) and moves it inside to warm the home. This process uses much less energy than a furnace or boiler.  Modern heat pumps are excellent at maintaining a constant temperature and humidity in your home and are designed to work at a continuous fixed low level
